New ham early this year (2009).  I am recently retired in 2007.  I worked many years for the FAA as a technical inspector. I had to do lots and lots or travel and I am really glad to be able to be home.  Before working for the FAA I was in the US Navy on Destroyers and later on Submarines, diesel boats.  VietNam was hot and heavy than and I was glad to make it through that.  Prior to the Navy I was an Air Force brat.  My father was an officer in the Air Force and we lived all over this country and over seas.  I went to high school in Okinawa, a very small island that is part of the Ryukyu Islands off of Japan.

One thing I learned about this wonderful hobby is that it is truly addictive.
