My nationality is Latvian along with all my family members. We speak Latvian at home and English is my "second" language. My parents and I arrived from Europe in 1950 in NYC. We moved to New Jersey in 1958 where I attended Grade School. While in High School, I was introduced to Amateur Radio and was first licensed in 1961 as WN2HDB. I have become an avid VHF'er both in New Jersey as KC2PX, and then later in Florida as KC4PX. Over the years I have held calls WA0PPR, WB2QYT, and KU4FH. Currently I am the trustee of the Harris Intersil Amateur radio Club, K4HRS. My current active calls are: KC4PX, C6APX and YL3PX. As for DXpeditions, I have activated K4T in the Dry Tortugas and plan on more, including Caribbean Islands for 6 Meter enthusiasts. During the 2003 Hurricane season, my QTH was visited by Charlie, Ivan, Francis and Jeanne. Francis decided to strip my property of all antennas. Since then I have rebuilt. My main activity is 6 meters, the "Magic Band". I'm QRV 90% of the time on 50.125Mhz. On weekend mornings, 1400z, I check into the Latvian Amateur 20 Meter Net on 14.319Mhz. I am also very active in all ARRL and CQ VHF Contests. I QSL 100%, however, I request that all QSL cards have an SASE included. I hate to write addresses. 73 Last modified: 2011-11-11 21:53:16, 1313 bytes cached
