Licensed continuously since 1972. Novice as WN8NII. General as WB8NII and Advanced as KC8BW. Active on the National Traffic System as a net control for the Michigan Net (a.k.a. QMN) and hold a TCC assignment, running traffic between the Eastern Area Net and Central Area Net. Have tried many modes, but always seem to migrate back to CW.

I inherited my interest in Amateur Radio from my Grandfather-W8KHA (SK).. Continued encouragement came from my high school electronics teacher, Gary (WA8LPI).

Am a retired firefighter/paramedic. Amateur radio operators played a major role in helping me establish my career in the fire/EMS service. Thanks to Keith-WB8OBR (now W8KD), Bob-WA8EQY (now N8ICP/4) and Ken (W8KTP).
