My roots are from CB radio where as a youngster I would listen to the "skip" roll in on my Uniden Washington during late nights and would wreak havoc on my mother's TV.  When I got to college I met fellow ham and now good friend Justin, K9MU, and he got me hooked on vhf/uhf weak signal. Shorly after my intro to ham radio I obtained the call KC9FQD.  A few years later I received my General ticket and while HF has not intrigued me quite as much as VHF, it has offered much enjoyment.  As of 9/26/09 my call has changed to K9DRO 

You can usually find me on the 6m/2m calling freqs or tuning around on 80 and 40m.

Made VUCC 6m as of 5/8/2008 (#1629)

Station Complements:  Icom 746pro, Icom 7000, Ameritron 811H HF amp (500w), Tucker T-3000 roller inductor Tuner, and  Hallicrafters S-38D SWR  ANTENNAS: 6m 5ele homebrew, M2 2M12 12ele,M2 2M5WL (Not up in the air yet) and 80m dipole feed with ladder line.  Old CDR rotor and controller (6m/2m).
