Hey all! Thanks for looking me up. My name is Brenden Paul Holste with call sign KC9KJW (Killion Jillion Watts, hi-hi!) living here in Aurora, IL just outside of Chicago. I was interested in the ham hobby after my dad (Dean, KC9EOQ) got his license, and some of his friends were in the hobby also. When the opportunity to take a tech class presented itself I decided "What the heck, this seems fun!". I got my license in November of 2006. So far I've had a great time with my dad and mom (Tamie, KC9LWX). Our local club (website www.frrl.org) has many great activities that I've taken a part of such as our Field Day stations, Hamfest, and a St. Charles Scarecrow Festival special events station. I'm currently a high school student, a member of my school's broadcasting club that produces live video webcasts for the school's website. Other interests besides radio include performing arts, choir, video games, anime (Japanese cartoons) retro things, and computers.
