Hi and thanks for looking me up on QRZ as this means we have been in contact via HF while I was mobile in my Jeep Wrangler or in my shack.

My QTH is 5 miles as the crow flies from Downtown HELL MI, so if you want a contact from HELL I might be as close as you can get.

My Jeep was the tipping point that got me into HAM radio after going off road on the trails in Moab Utah. Being with other HAMS with Jeeps it was clear that a HAM radio added to the safety to be able to contact others for help in an emergency.

Now after having the radio in the Jeep for a bit of time, I really love the experience of being able to make contacts while mobile. So the combination of the HAM hobby with a Jeep realy brings home the meaning Jeep. Just Empty Every Pocket. My mobil rig is an IC-7000 running barefoot right now with a Scorpion Shorty Screwdriver antenna.

In my shack I built a K3 running into a SGC powercube. For antennas I have a choice of either a Alpha Delta Dipole, a home built 160m 2 wl long loop at 30 to 40 ft in the air or a home made 1/4w 80M vertical with a parallel wire for 40m.

I do eQSL & LotW to log contacts so if you catch me mobile and I am driving I am unable to log anything. So I would appreciate either a eQSL or email so I can get you in my log.

I also frequent the 3905cc nets so look for me there!

Thanks for stopping 73's'
