Thanks for looking me up!  I live in Opp, Alabama (grid EM61UG). I was licensed as a Tech in March 1999, upgraded to General in July 2007, then upgraded to Extra in December, 2008. My HF station is a Kenwood TS-940S and a Yaesu FT-900. I use an MFJ-949E tuner with a 20M dipole and an 40/80M dipole and can cover all the bands I need. One day I'll get my tower up and maybe, add an amplifier to my shack.

I enjoy the HF bands very much. I like rag-chewing, working DX stations and the interesting special event stations.  I also like the digital modes and have made many contacts already, including a station in Australia. Like many hams, I built a home-brew interface.  I use Fldigi on a Linux computer (no MS Windows here) and I log all my contacts with XLog (a native Linux logging program). If you want to see my interface and more photos of my shack, look here: http://oppcatv.com/kg4cna/psk31/index.html .

Next up on the "to-do list",  CW. I started learning in 1987 but dropped it before finishing. Update on that later. I am also an accredited VE.

Memberships: ARRL (http://www.arrl.org), OMISS (#6000) (http://www.omiss.net) and the YL System (#16238) (http://www.ylsystem.org).

QSL: 100% direct or LoTW.  SASE not required for North American stations, although I won't fuss if you include it. Sorry, I do not use any of the various Bureau (buro) services.

Thanks for stopping by, good DX and hope to talk to you soon!
