Hello, Thanks for the lookup.

QRZ is a wonderful tool for getting acquainted with fellow Amateurs all around the world. It's great to look up a call sign and see the operator or a picture of the station.

I worked in Silicon Valley in the Electronics Industry for 33 years. Last 20 years I worked for a robotics company. My field of expertise was in Servo Power Amplifiers that control motor motion. I retired from engineering in 2003 to persue my hobbies full time. I like Ham Radio, Computers, and Digital Photography. I also enjoy the outdoors. I like to fish and I enjoy nature. I also spend some time designing and building electronic projects.

My current station is comprised of a new Yaesu Ft-950. Amplifier is a Heathkit SB-220 and antennas are a Hygain MK4 three element triband beam up about 30 ft. I have an OCF dipole for use on the other bands.

I also have a nice Yaesu FT-990 that now being set up for use in CW mode. I am working on getting my CW speed back up to where it was many years ago Currently sending CQ between 10 and 13 WPM. Mostly on 20m. Hope to be back up to 20 WPM in a few months CW is GREAT! Try it, you will like it.

I have just recently added another rig to the station.  A Yaesu FT-900  Designed small for mobile use, but full featured for base use as well.  This Rig is something I have wanted for a long time and it is my present to my self for haveing reached the grand old age of 69 years. Who would have thought?

My new years goal is WAH. (Whisky Alpha Hotel) (Worked All Hams.) I'll be Looking for you on the bands.

I hope you enjoyed our QSO. I did. I will be listening for you again soon.

73's. James

x.

PY2KW, Nelson Pala was a phys. ed. teacher at Avare' C.E.E.N.Cel. Joao Cruz High School. He eventually became the principal and was admired by parents and students. He taught me and other students the first steps of marching band, volleyball and in the art of Ham Radio.
