PLEASE EVERYONE USE eQSL, LOTW or QRZ. These sites help me get awards. I love to receive cards through the mail. With our postal service cutting deliveries in the future this might be the only way to confirm our QSOs. It is free so why not take 1 minute to upload your logbook.

NEW EQUIPMENT:

New to antenna farm is the CUSHCRAFT A3S.

Now a little about myself. My name is Kendall. I'm retired Air Force. I spent 21 year and retired in March of 2004 in Goldsboro, NC. Before I entered the Air Force I was born and raised in Oak Ridge, TN at the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains. At the age of 21 I entered the service and also married my wife 3 days before I entered service and she has stuck with me for 28 years as of this update. I have two daughters both are now in their 20s. My oldest got married Oct 2010. It was a wonderful beach wedding at Emerald Island, NC. I am now a Grandfather and his name is Carter Allen Grogan. My youngest graduated from Wayne Community College and is going to North Carolina State (NC State). Her major is in Animal Science. I first got my Tech license in Oct 2007 and updated to General in Oct 2008. I am running a Kenwood TS-2000 for HF with a Kenwood MC-60, Ameritron AL-811H amplifier, and a Palstar AT2K antenna tuner.

Complete computer system with dual monitors. If you don't have two monitors and run HRD it's great. You have to try dual monitors. IT IS A GREAT SETUP.

My antennas are a dipole MFJ-1778 flat top also made a 40 meter folded dipole, Hy-Gain VB-214FM a 14 element beam for 2 meters, on Jul 16, 2009 I added a 4BTV, Homebrewed a Hexbeam I built for around $100. As you can tell I love making antennas instead of buying them. I will post updates and picture as they become available. I am looking at making a 40 meter beam in the future.

For the audio side I am running nothing but Behinger gear. Inline with the Kenwood mic is a Xenyx-802 mixer, FX-2000 high performance 3D effects processor, and a MDX-2600 Audio Interactive Dynamics Processor. Looking to get a Behringer T-1 Tube Condenser Mic Vacuum Tube Condenser Microphone.

I bought Behringer because I can use it as stereo equipment as well. Look at their complete line as I'm going to build a home entertainment center that will blow you away. Behringer is not charging an arm and a leg for their equipment.

Love to get paper QSL cards.
