My first name is John but I go by Jack. I started hamming in 1971 as WA6OYU while stationed on the island of Guam. After the Navy, I moved to Virginia and took the call sign of KI4VP but that was short lived, as I moved back to California and requested the call KZ6ZZ. As things happened, my job moved me to Michigan and I refuse to change my call sign again. I am active on 80 through 2 SSB, enjoy the digital modes. I am operating with a Kenwood TS-990 and a 3 element SteppIR (40-6) antenna at 40 feet. For 2 meter SSB I use a Kenwood TR-9130 with a 180 watt brick and a 9 element Antenna. I also enjoy the old tube rigs and have a Drake TR-4C. Hope to hear you on the band. For more information, my home web page is:

Here is the staton

The SteppIR antenna (6 thru 40) in the winter of 2011

The Drake TR-4C radio and RV-4C VFO and the 2 Meter SSB station.

And as for my other hobby, it is anything with 2 or 4 wheels. Here is my

1985 Fiero with a LS3 (430 HP) engine and 6 speed transmission.

The Buick Grand National, fastest production car in the USA in 1986 & 1987. My BMW 800ST bike.

You can check out my other cars at my web site.

73, Jack
