LA2S is the local group for the city Sandnessjøen, the club is a local group under NRRL (Norwegian Radio and Relay League.

The city Sandnessjøen is located approx 100 km south of the Arctic Circle on the north-west Norwegian coast. Sandnessjøen is also located on Alsten Island which belongs to IOTA group EU-062.Belowe you will find some info and photos about our group and activitis we're taking part of.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We are almost emty of QSL-cards for the activation Vega Island, since the activation took place almost 1 1/2 year ago we have deside to don't print more QSL-cards so, please do not send more QSL-cards.

The crew on the expedition was LA3ENA Trond, LA3DNA Leif and LA9JNA Magne.

2 and 3 stations was runned during the activation and we was active on 80, 40, 20, 17, 15, and 10 meter SSB.

Equipment in use during activation:

  • Rigs: Kenwood TS-870, Icom IC-746 Pro and and Icom IC-765
  • Heil Headsets and Interface controlled radios from logging software.
  • Switch mode power supplies.
  • Monoband Dunestar band-pass filters for 40-20-17 and 15 meters.
  • President Black Pirate (10m), Windom, Delta Loop for 15, 17m, 20m, W3DZZ trap dipole for 40/80m, 1/4 wave vertical for 40m
  • Logging software will be UCXLog.
