I am WQ8M living abroad in Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire, UK.  I may live here until 2011 or 2012.  Out of all my hobbies - flying, skiing, camping, travelling, Amateur Radio has been the most fun for me.  These days, I enjoy radio for a different reason than when I first entered the hobby in 1981 at 16 years old.  Simply put, I like using RF to make new friends, to strengthen old friendships, and anything else fun that happens while doing so is just "icing on the cake!"  I also believe that promoting international goodwill is a duty of an Amateur Radio Operator.  I hope to see you on HF/VHF/UHF direct, or use technology (VoIP) and link into IRLP.net node 3415 - timezone = Zulu.
