Thank you for looking me up on QRZ. I am lucky to have two hobbies (tnx to my XYL) - Amateur Radio and my weekend car - a TVR Griffith 500 (more pictures below)
Radio first I passed the full license exam on 11th October 2009 and my station is currently: Yaesu FTDX5000D with a Heil HM-10 microphone. Amplifier is an Acom 1000 Hexbeam Antenna: 20m to 6m, 2 element 6 band Hexbeam at 15m high above the house. Please click the link for more details - http://g3txq-hexbeam.com/ made and supplied by MW0JZE 40m and 80m I use a full size G5RV 9m above the ground (running N.West/ S.East) I work all the HF bands - but mostly in the evening and at weekends. Grid square IO93HM / WAB square SE42 Hexbeam antenna
It is a good perch for Swallows in the summer !
This is my TVR Griffith 500 - at a Classic car show in August 2012
The car is14 years old and has a 5000cc V8 engine and a fibreglass body. Power is about 320hp and it weighs 1060kg The last Griffiths were made in 2002 and these handmade cars (made in Blackpool) are now starting to increase in value. Unfortunately TVR's are no longer in production. There is nothing better on a nice warm summers day ! The pictures were taken a local classic car show at Wentworth Woodhouse in August 2012. 73's and good DX! Chris.
