Hello, and thanks for looking me up.
Please feel free to add your call to my contact log above.

My QTH is based in the small village of Hasketon near Woodbridge not far from the coast in the county of Suffolk , East Anglia (Approx 137km NE of London) and is the large region of eastern England that protrudes out into the North Sea.

I am active when I can be be on 20m through 6m (when open) and occasionally on 30 through 160m – and also often on the local east Suffolk 2m nets.

  • As of August 2009 I operate on the UK 60m experimental band where I will be happy to exchange SINPO reports whilst using an E/W oriented Inverted L antenna up at 9m.

I am active on phone as well as also enjoy digimodes especially some of the more unusual ones such as Throb, Hellschreiber and OLIVIA.

My station comprises of an Icom 7600  and Acom linear amplification. Antenna for 20m and higher is a SteppIR 3 Element beam up at approx 13 metres on top of a Tennamast mast. Occasionally I can be heard working portable from my favourite local beach location, Shingle Street on the Suffolk coastline.

My QSL card – shown in the top right main picture – illustrates the Tide Mill on the River Deben in Woodbridge – about 2.5 miles away from my QTH – and if you find me on SSTV you should see some more images of in and around the Suffolk coastline of eastern England.

If you wish to send QSL direct and want a reply please do send an IRC (International Reply Coupon).

I look forward to hearing or seeing you on the bands. 73 Simon
