Started in amateur radio as an 'M3' in May 2004, took my intermediate in June '04 and managed to get my advanced in October '04.

I enjoy working HF & VHF phone, and am active in the monthly RSGB 2m UKACC contests. I have a limited antenna setup (typical English town garden!) but quite good ground sloping steeply off to the North and the Thames flood plain, so this makes up for my setup somewhat.

I'm an active committee member of my local club ,Swindon & District Amateur Radio Club, and am also webmaster for the club site. I enjoy participating in club events, particularly contesting. I particularly enjoy home-brewing but am a complete beginner in electronics. I've built a couple of very successful transverters and some test-kit, but my 'to-do' project list expands by the day...
