I am 55 years old, married with 3 children; I live in a town called Llanelli on the south west coast of Wales (WAB – SS59 and WW Locator – IO71wq). I was first licensed as a radio ham in 1999 and have held the MW0DBV callsign since 2000. My hobbies include fishing, photography and amateur radio.

Me Chilling Out

I am QRV on most bands from 80-2m, both on phone and BPSK-31. My shack consists of a Yaesu FT-1000MP for HF and I also have a Kenwood TS-2000 for both 6 and 2m. I have various antennas, for VHF I have a Watson W-2000 Triband collinear, and for HF I have a Hexbeam (20-6m) and a Hustler 5-BTV (80-10m).

My Equipment

For the past 5 years I have been the Chairman of Llanelli Amateur Radio Society. The radio club meets every Monday night and we are QRV on most bands and Modes from 80m to 70cm with the callsign GC0EZQ (club details http://www.llanelli-radio-club.tk ).

Thank you for viewing me on QRZ.com and 73's from Wales.
