I am 58 years old, married with 3 children; I live in a town called Llanelli on the south west coast of Wales (WAB – SS59 and WW Locator – IO71wq). I was first licensed as a radio ham in 1999 and have held the MW0DBV callsign since 2000. My hobbies include fishing, photography and amateur radio.

Me Chilling Out

I am QRV on most bands from 80-2m, both on phone and BPSK-31. My shack consists of a ICOM IC-7000 for HF and I also have a ICOM IC-7400 for BPSK31, 6 and 2m. I have various antennas, for VHF I have a Watson W-2000 Triband collinear, and for HF I have a Hexbeam (20-6m) and a Hustler 5-BTV (80-10m).

My Equipment

For the past 8 years I have been the Chairman of Llanelli Amateur Radio Society. The radio club meets every Monday night and we are QRV on most bands and Modes from 80m to 70cm with the callsign GC0EZQ (club details http://www.llanelli-radio-club.tk ).
