Hello, I’m Les MW3UFN. I live in Mochdre a small village on the north coast about 5 minute drive from Colwyn bay.

I’ve had my licence since 2006 and I am enjoying the world of radio. I do more SWL than speaking but I do like to have a chat on the 2 meter band.

My setup is a ¼ wave Mag mount antenna which I use for the portable and mobile operation. I use a homebrew 3 element yagi for my home operation. My radio is a Yaesu FT2600m which I purchased off e-bay. I am in the middle of looking for a HF radio to get me on the bands this year hopefully.

My plans for the future is to pass my intermediate and advance licences and to learn morse code. I would also like to start contesting and have a go at qrp and sota.
