What makes a QSO a complete QSO...
Callsigns Both ways.
Signal Reports Both ways.
Rogers Both ways.
If on WJST/Digi modes I do not rx a R from you, be it Rxx or RRR then I will not log the contact.
222 Mhz EME 4* 7WLs.
Operational on 50 Mhz 144 Mhz and 222 Mhz using Larcan SSPAs on TX for all bands.
For RX on all bands I use a Poorman's Flex. A Funcube Pro + and SDR Console V2.x (by Simon Brown) which mirrors my TX Brick. What an RX!!!
For those of you who want to set your SDR RX up to work as a Poorman's Flex so that your RX is SDR and your TX is your brick rig Bryan, W3CP, has made a great video explaining the steps he took in setting up K3NXH's computer so that Chuck can work full SDR RX/Brick TX in all modes both from the shack and remotley.
Since being licenced in 1983 as G6YZC I have really only been intrested in VHF. I loved operating 4m (70 Mhz) and very early on realized that the best amp you gan have is a good antenna. This is a 20 element 70 Mhz beam that I built for NFD many years ago.
By far the best site I had was when I lived in Gibraltar and operated 6m 4m 2m and 70cm under ZB0W from the shack at the top of the rock. Although there were many VHF firsts achieved from there the ones that stand out most are the first 2m to 3A2LU and the First ever LEGAL 2m contact with Algieria. 2M EME from the top of the rock was wonderful and I can only imagine how much better it would be with WJST.
Here are a couple of pictures from the shack in ZB2. By far the best VHF take off I will ever have.
I hope to be on 6m EME by the end of 2014 with 4*5ele and a 1Kw Larcan. At the time of writing the antennas are in the test position half way up the tower. 2m EME to follow.....
