I enjoy working DX, contesting, and award chasing very much. I'm a retired correction officer and have authored two history books on my county, Butler County, PA. I'm married to Marilyn and between us we have five grown children and eight grandchildren. My transceivers are a Yaesu FT 767GX and an ICOM-707. My antenna is a Cushcraft R7 Vertical up 40 ft. and a G5RV up 30 ft. I work a lot of FELD HELL, RTTY, BPSK, CW, & SB. I also enjoy working all the new digital modes and QSLing is one of my favorite parts of the radio hobby.

BUREAU USE

I mailed 700 cards via BU on Nov. 15  2012

I mailed 120 cards via BU on Dec. 6, 2012

I mailed 170 cards on Dec 22, 2012

I mailed 137 cards on Jan 15, 2013

I mailed 211 cards on Jan 31, 2013

I mailed 150 cards Feb. 15, 2013

I have 130 cards ready to go and will send around 1st week in March 2013

I received 16 cards from BU today February 28, 2013.  When I receive a envelope from the BU with cards it is a holliday at my house.

The reason for so few cards returned is I was behind four years on sending qsl's via BU so the first 700 cards caught me up.  Am just now starting to receive cards again on February 28, 2013

I now have exactly 200 DX Entities confirmed with cards.  Five outstanding cards sent with SASE and return postage that I should receive back soon.

I work all the contests I can, CW is the best mode to contact DX for me. 

It is getting harder and harder to use the Bureau.  Many stations only use LOTW or EQSL.  Many stations only want cards sent direct with SASE and Greenstamps.  Many want from 2 to 3 dollars to cover return postage.

If I need a new Entinity I QSL direct with a SASE and money for return postage and price of card.  It usually works.

I know I can use LOTW or E.QSL and save money, but it means much much more to me to have the real cards in my hand.

QSLing is just something I like to do.

If I ever learn to upload my Log to EQSL and LOTW I will do it.  Right now, I really don't have the knowledge to do this. I lost a log one time so this one has 7630 qso's to date.

QSL INFORMATION

If you wish to QSL direct, all qsl returned via mail, no SASE or money needed. All SWL reports answered with a card, no problem.

If you are a DX station that wishes to QSL direct to my mail address, when card is received I will return a qsl card immediately, no SASE OR MONEY needed. If the postage money you spent to send a card is a problem to you please include a note with the card stating so and I will put a Green Stamp (dollar bill) in with your return card to help you with the postage.

I helped found The Feld Hell Club and am Asst. Administrator. The club has over 4000 members now.

Feld Hell Club awards, contests, membership and the webpage are up and running strong with the managers doing a really great job. My FH Number is FH2

I have worked WAS in Hell but did not need qsl cards for Feld Hell Club Award.

I HAVE WORKED ALL THESE STATES BUT STILL NEED CARDS TO CONFIRM. IF YOU ARE A STATION I WORKED IN FELD HELL AND CAN SEND A CONFIRMATION I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.
