I am an amateur extra class radio operator. I ventured into amateur radio after years of service on the public safety side of things. I met and befriended some "hams" in the area, and after obtaining my technician class license, my interest peaked from there. Some of my favorite modes of operation are phone and data (preferably PSK). I always enjoy finding new and interesting ways to communicate throughout the world with others. I QSL via LoTW, and QRZ.com .
I am a member of the Monroe Amateur Radio Club, call sign WZ4V. To plug the radio club for a moment, you may visit www.wz4v.com to learn more about our service to amateur radio and our community. In addition to the radio club, I also enjoy helping others dive into the world of amateur radio and assist them in obtaining their amateur radio license. Side note, I am a volunteer examiner as well.
