Jeff Drew is a Birmingham Alabama Native with extensive history in Civil Rights. Also he works as an insurance agent and Jazz musician. He Plays the upright bass. His station is located at the highest point in North Birmingham at the historic top of Dynamite Hill (Center Street North). CQ Magazine published Jeffs article on Ham Radio in China in the November 2007 issue. Article also has a sidebar on "Field Day" in the Balisia Mountains, China. Effective July 13, 2012 Jeff Drew was elected to the office of President of the OMIK Radio Association, Inc., Website: www.OMIKRADIO.org Other memberships include: Birmingham Amateur Radio Club (BARC) Shelby County Radio Club (SARC) Birmingham DX Club OMISS net #6816 10 XX 74355 Also a member of ALERT and volunteer radio operator for the National Weather Service. A ARRL Volunteer Examiner (VE),providing assistance for the Birmingham HamFest, Boy Scouts Jamboree, OMIK Convention VE and Club Tailgating activities.
