Jeff Drew is a Birmingham Alabama Native with extensive history in Civil Rights. Also he works as an insurance agent and Jazz musician. He Plays the upright bass. His station is located at the highest point in North Birmingham at the historic top of Dynamite Hill (Center Street North).

CQ Magazine published Jeffs article on Ham Radio in China in the November 2007 issue. Article also has a sidebar on "Field Day" in the Balisia Mountains, China.

Effective July 13, 2012 Jeff Drew was elected to the office of President of the OMIK Radio Association, Inc., Website: www.OMIKRADIO.org

December 2006 Completed a DX trip to Beijing China where he operated at the Chinese Radio Sports Association Station as N4JDU/BY portable. Please see photos taken by AnPing.

Birmingham, Alabama hosted the 2009 OMIK Amateur Radio Assn Annual Convention July 15 - 18th. Airman Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson was the featured Pilot and Speaker.

Jeff Drew was convention chairman.

Primary Station equipment is Elecraft K-3 w/t Panadapter, Acom 1000 Amp, Collins KWM-2 with 30-L amp, Antennas are M2 Log Periodic 7-10-30 Mhz, M2 6 meter,Zero-5 43 Ft. Vertical and True Talk Dipole as backup. Field equipment is Icom 7200HF/50mhz and Ic2820 VHF/ Dstar and field antennas Buddipole, Buddistick, and the Alpha Vertical

.In my pocket is the new Elecraft KX-3 QRP rig which works well with all my antennas.
