D Day +1

Honoring the 70th Anniversary of D Day

At The Road to Victory

Military Museum

The Martin County Amateur Radio Association in conjunction with Martin County ARES/RACES will be operating from The Road to Victory Military Museum during a Special Open House Saturday June 7th from 1200 UTC until 2000 UTC.
At The Road to Victory Military Museum their mission is to honor and pay tribute to all the brave men and women who have served, and are presently serving our country in the Armed Forces. By the display of historical artifacts, uniforms, militaria, photographs, and vehicles both historical and personal, we are able to pay homage to these heroes while informing and educating the public of their noble endeavors and our freedoms as Americans. In many communities across the nation, museums have become trusted caretakers and sources of knowledge, serving the community in its exploration of history and experiences; generating ideas and inspiration. Our veterans were witness to history, they also made history and a museum provides permanent record and common ground for the community to learn that history.
Please take a moment this day and say "Thank You" to all the brave men and women of WWII and especially those who so bravely fought on D Day.

We should be operating around 14.275, you can also reach us on EchoLink node 315546.
