First licensed in 1957 with the callsign KN4PUZ while living in Oak Ridge, TN.

I became interested in contesting after Mel K4LPW (later K4PJ) invited me to the 1958 Field Day. He then became my elmer, which led to a lifetime interest to radio contesting. I'm still very active in contesting, favorite mode is CW and lately CW mobile operations.

Currently I am not able to keep up with all the bureau QSL cards, but always reply to direct mail request. SASE preferred. Eventually will upload my electronic logs to LOTW.
