I sign my name G. David but government computers can't handle it so the FCC says my name is Gordon D. Born in '49 in Bryan, Tx. (which means I can park in handicapped spots). Married 40 years with two sons 27 and 31. I passed my novice test in 1958 but I never received my lic., or my scout leader never turned in the paperwork; but it was always in the back of my mind. I finally set aside the time to get it done in 2001. My primary call is KD5PEK with a vanity call of N5GDW. I'm a private pilot with nothing to fly. I've owned a 1947 Piper Cub Super Cruiser PA12 (N2325M) and a 1974 Citabria 7eca (N90969). I try to fly just enough to keep current even a 3rd class medical is impossible due to medical issues. Maybe an LSA in the future. I'm retired from AT&T after 35 years where I managed IT wireless/mobility projects nationwide. I have primarily Icom HF and VHF/UHF station equipment.
