My old gear (Yaesu FT-101EX, Kenwood TS-830S, Icom IC-730, IC-735, and Yaesu FT-901DM) are still around in addition to the Yaesu FT-1000. I still enjoy QSOs with down-to-earth operators and I also like checking into the YLISSB System where some of the most friendly people in radio operate. The YL System operates on 14.332 and 7.201 and any amateur operator is welcome. My YLISSB number is 15950, TFO, 457, and my 10-10 International number is 74231. I like the 10, and 15 meter bands as well as 40, 17, 2 meters, and more recently 75 Meters. I am a member of the South Canadian Amateur Radio Society SCARS in Norman, Oklahoma, and our club repeater frequency for 2 meters is 147.06 PL 141.3. I am also a member of the Collins Collectors Association AC07-11935. See you on the 75 Meter Collins Nets Tuesdays & Thursdays, at 8:00 p.m. Central on 3.805 +- and on the 20 Meter Sunday Collins Net on 14.263 @ 20:00. I added a Force 12 C4 beam (January 2005 and a homebrew 160 Meter Dipole February 2005, and an homebrew 75 Meter Double Bazooka in August 2005) and I am very pleased with the performance of these antennas. I added two more Collins KWM-2As and a KWM-2 to the shack (Since January, 2007) and I am enjoying the rigs. I thought I would never own a Collins! Yesterday (May 22, 2009) I added two Heathkit SB-104As to the shack. I am deeply grateful to all of the Hams who have helped me since 1979, especially my Dad, Jack, K5LOV, Don, N5ZCP, and the One and Only, Gordon, W5OU. I have needed all of the Elmering I can get Hi Hi. I hope to meet you on the air soon. 73 to you and your family, de, N5OKU.
