First licensed in 1969 as WN7MPS at age 14 in Idaho Falls, ID; later upgraded to WA7MPS. Moved to SoCal in 1980 and upgraded to NC6U; later to N6ER. Interests include contesting, DX'ing, homebrew amplifiers and antennas, basketball, and piano. Married 35 yrs to Jacquie KI6WRS, and parents of 5 children, with 8 grandchildren (for those of you keeping score).

Station is K3/100, homebrew 2x 3CX800A7 amp, KT-36XA (boom loaded for 40m) and sloper for 75m/80m at 50 ft. YCCC SO2R+ box and K7SV's IC-9100 for SO2R.  Dell XPS-14 (I7) for computing. Homebrew automatic programmable remote antenna switch. Portable emergency station with IC-7000, FT-8800, 3-way power, full digital modes including Winlink, and a BuddiPole antenna.
