I've been getting on the bands a lot more of late, eagerly awaiting more sunspots to show up. In November of 2008 I replaced my TS-940s with an Elecraft K3 and I'm really enjoying using it. Currently my only antenna is a Butternut HF6V vertical mounted on the roof.
I passed my novice exam when I was 12 in 1963, then had to wait several months for my ticket to be issued due to some big computer snafu at FCC headquarters. To this day I hate computers, which is why I program them for a living; it's my way of getting back at them.
My other hobbies include playing bass guitar, singing and stamp collecting.
I enjoy exchanging QSL cards, so by all means send me yours and I'll send you one of mine.
The photo at the top right is of my 2nd op Oreo, who often falls asleep at the operating position.
73 and see you on the bands! Matt Last modified: 2011-01-22 00:33:14, 1192 bytes cached
