Just returned to ham radio after a long break and trying to get back in the swing of things. I am still recovering from Stage 4, Head and Neck Cancer treatment. The main tumor was on the base of my tongue and had spread to lymph nodes on the left side of my neck. I received 3 months of intensive chemotherapy followed by 7 weeks of radiation treatment. Just finished taking 40 hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatments so that I can have some dental work done. Radiation took my saliva glands. I am cancer free now.
First licensed in 1982, but in es out of the hobby and just returned in July 2011. Mostly chase DX and love working CW and dabble a bit in PSK31 es RTTY

My conditions here are, Icom IC-718, AXIS CM-3 Mic, Dentron GLA-1000 Amp, LDG AT-7000 125 watt auto tuner, MFJ-949E 300 watt tuner, 3 ele tri band beam for 20,15,10 with the 40M add on up about 50' , G5RVjr @ 35' , and an 80M CF dipole at about 40'

My 10-X # 72201 es SKCC #8934

Hi Randy - Hang in there with the big C. My wife has been cancer free for 23 years, so it can be done. She'll outlive me. Regards, Steve NM8U

PY2KW, Nelson Pala was a phys. ed. teacher at Avare' C.E.E.N.Cel. Joao Cruz High School. He eventually became the principal and was admired by parents and students. He taught me and other students the first steps of marching band, volleyball and in the art of Ham Radio.
