Howdy! Nevermind what the FCC says, I go by Glen (and an assortment of cursewords if you ask my family and friends).

Currently nestled in the woods north of Greensboro, NC with a full length 160m doublet up in the trees about 75' and a baby 6m beam on the roof.  Running an Icom 756 Pro III and an exasperated AL82 on HF.  TS2000X for 6m and the soon-to-be sat/VHF stack. I've been here about a year - hopefully getting the HF/6m stack up in the spring.

First licensed in '79 as KA5GWI in Hereford, TX (DM84), then briefly as N5ETS before I made the jump to NA5Z in 1983. Also spent a good deal of time operating at Texas A&M's club station, W5AC during my college years.  Finally got active again when I lived in Indianapolis.

Lately I've mostly interested in tinkering with ol' time wire antennas on the low bands, chasing DX, VUCC, digi-modes, and designing my own circuit boards for the shack.

Outside of radio, I like to hit the shooting range, mountain bike trails, hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway, kayaking, hot rods, and exploring my new surroundings. I've been an engineer by trade; worked for Halliburton for a bit, dgital design microwave telco backbones, analog and RF design on HDTV and satellite boxes for RCA, and now app's engineering for a semiconductor company. I've yet to find anyone that will pay me the same salary for drinking beer, playing with hot rods, and plinking on the radio - guess I'll have to invent that job eventually.

If you need a QSL or had an issue getting one, drop me a line and I'll take care of ya!
