CT7/NK6A operation from Sep 2, - Sep 16, 2013 from Portugal. QSL via NK6A. Operation was fromn Lisbon, Porto and Pinhao.

I was first licensed in 1959 as WV6HYF. I was 12 and used a DX40 and a Halicrafters SX99. I later became WA6IYK and became interested in chasing DX. I also discovered QRP operating and built a Heath HW8. 1980 was good for DX with QRP power. I also had a HW9 and an Argonout 515. I now have the ElecraftK2/100, K1 and KX1and new KX3. I enjoy operating from the field and on vacations using the KX1 and KX3.

My current station consist of a Elecraft K3/100,P3, KPA500,Alpha 8410, Force 12C4 and many QRP rigs I have built. I still chase DX and also participate in contests.I am a member of the Southern California DX Club and the Southern California Contest Club. Discovered SOTA operations and enjoy going out in the field and hiking with my new KX3 and portable antennas.

I am retired from working in the Automotive field (Car Audio and Navigation) as a Quality Engineer and ISO 9000 Auditor. I ride a 2011 BMW R1200RT and tool around in my 1995 Miata. I also play the five-string banjo and mandolin when I am not behind the Viking range turning out gourmet meals. See you in the pileups or in a contest. 73, Don
