Click for more detail... David served in the US Army as a counterintelligence special agent from 1973 until 1993, when he retired with the rank of major. He now works for the the State of Utah as a Geographic Information Systems specialist. He was first licensed in 1964 with the call sign WN6IZX and has also held the calls WN7WKR, WA6FNH, DA1FN, KA7JAN, and AA6RM. He was the Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) Emergency Coordinator (EC) and Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services Director for the City and County of San Francisco during the Loma Prieta Earthquake of October 17, 1989. He also served as the ARES training officer for Fairfax County, Virginia and the ARES EC for the Military District of Washington, DC. David's favorite operating modes are CW and digital modes.
