On the occasion of the centenary celebrations of the first World War, the UBA application at BIPT so that all Belgian radio amateurs can use the prefix OP (P Poppies) for each month from November 2014 2018 (inclusive). The duration of this authorization is limited in time to that special prefixes from this opportunity to keep all their appeal. Today, the decision on the approval of the Board BIPT was published:
The board BIPT authorize any holder of a Belgian Amateur Radio license to use the "OP" prefix instead of the standard prefix "ON" and, during the following periods:
- From 1 to 30 November 2014
