Hi folks,

I was introduced to ham radio by my uncle ON4LP at the age of 12. He gave me the chanche to appreciate the smell of solder, the glow of radio tubes and the mystic sound of shortwave broadcast stations and hams produced by a pair of headphones. When he donated me a R-107 I was enthousiasted to learn the code. At the age of 17 in 1968, I obtained my license and I build my first tx (X-tal controlled on 40 with one 6L6 tube). Since then I operated phone, SSB, SSTV and many other modes but CW stayed my preferred mode of communication.

Today I operate with a FT1000MP or my old TS520 and simple antennas on all HF bands (inverted L on 160-80-40, delta loop on 40, 2 element yagi on 20-15-10 and rotatable dipole on WARC bands). I still like building homebrew equipment and restoring vintage radios.

Thanks for looking me up on QRZ.com and hope to meet on the air.
