"De Veldblomme", clubstation of UBA section TLS, Veldstraat 50 9840 De Pinte

OO4ØMS is a special callsign to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the radio club “De Pinte” with the callsign ON6MS. The club joined the UBA, the Royal Belgian Society of Radio Amateurs and became the club station of TLS, a region between Leie (the Golden River) and Scheldt, two rivers joining each other in Ghent, the nearest city. TLS as well as ON6MS are well known in the amateur radio community. The club was instrumental in preparing many radio hams, both young and old, to obtain their license. Local authorities have throughout the years supported the club and provided a shack where hams could meet. Founding members included, amongst others, ON4PA (†), ON5DQ, ON5EH and ON5GH(†). Some of the club members have been very active in international aid operations: ON4TJ (Romania), ON4WW and ON6TT (UNHCR). The club includes in its ranks a number of well-known DX-ers such as ON4IZ, ON4UN, ON4WW, ON6TT, ON5UK, ON4TJ and others. The club station is active during most field days and can also be heard each Sunday morning in the TLS and BAFARA (Belgian Air Force Amateur Radio Association) meeting around 3670 kHz at 0800 UTC.

We would like to thank along these lines the local council of De Pinte for its support in the past forty years, the founding members, past and present board members, instructors, contesters, lecturers, organisers and all those who have made the club famous.

Oprichters waren onder andere ON4ET, ON4PA(†), ON5DQ, ON5EH,and ON5GH.
