Special event station

In function of the European Leader Project, for the promotion and activation of the ‘country live’, we organize a special event on 2 and 3 may setting up a whole station in the center of the village near the church. For this occasion we use a special call ON769MS. More info can be found in Dutch on http://www.zevergem.org/TLS/default.aspx

On those two days we will be very active but the call will be active till end of October 2009. There is a special QSL card foreseen with the whole information of the project.

The program on 2 and 3 may is:

  • Saturday morning, line-up of the stations and antennas.
  • During the whole event, contacts will be made over the whole world on HF.
  • Local QSO’s will be made on, VHF and UHF.
  • All modes will be demonstrated: CW, Phone, Digital modes, SSTV and ATV.
  • An introduction in Fox-O-Ring – non competitive searching of hidden emitters in the near nature.
  • Reception and transmission of Amateur television.
Demonstration of Communication with amateur satellites and ISS.
  • Continuous demonstration and experiments concerning radioamatuerism.
  • Sunday in the afternoon, Demonstration of a flying camera.
  • There will be a special QSL Card for the ON769MS call
  • We will participate the VHF contest during the event

In the same Leader Project, the people will have the opportunity to elect a statue for there village. The date of the election is 07/06/2009, the same date as the European en Regional elections held in Belgium so the project is named ‘769 – image of my village’ (thus the figure of the call 769)

The final goal of the project is to make people think around the living on the country side, the pro and contra of it and the active choice to live there.

Hope to work one of you out there
