Thieu Mandos is an active ham as PA0M (former PAoMPM 19752003) and enthousiastic SWL as NL-199. My main activities are building electronics, write a monthlycolumninour radiomagazine andorganize activities for the radio-active starters. You can hear me every year in the Jamboree on the Air, 3th weekend of October. Every year during the 2nd weekend of February we have the PACC contest in which you have a good change to work me. My brother Anton is very active as ON6NL meet him on SW. For who wants to read more about my activities, read the monthly coloum for SWLs which I write already for 35 years in the Dutch radio amateur magazine Electron. I had the honor of being "the Ham of the year" in Holland for 1999, thanks to all who stimulated me.

I like to do some home brewing. I got many project under construction, some of them you can see om www.swl.dse.nl .
When I'm on air I currently use a TS850sat with sometimes a SB220 or Skanti5000 and as antenne a 40 and 80 dipole at 5m high and a 3band rotary dipole at 8m high.

Do me a favour and send also QSL to the SWLs. When their report isn't that well, send them anyway a QSL card to instruct them how to do it better next time. That is the positive way to educate the next generation of hams.

### NLCC award ### Help to motivate the next generation os hams and answer over 100 SWL reports. For your NLCC award send a signed loglist of 100 confirmed SWL reports plus $1 or 5 IRC to me and I send you the award issued by the SWL section of VERON.

PY2KW, Nelson Pala was a phys. ed. teacher at Avare' C.E.E.N.Cel. Joao Cruz High School. He eventually became the principal and was admired by parents and students. He taught me and other students the first steps of marching band, volleyball and in the art of Ham Radio.
