I’m finally just about settled in to the new QTH in Ermelo, a small village about 50 miles east of Amsterdam. The new QTH offers me some space for a antennatower, made by Allart, PA7AVS (www.avstechniek.nl).

In February 2013 I got myself an Optibeam OB9-5. For the first time in my HAM-life a real antenna. Before I worked with wire-antennas, mainly end-feds. Great antenna’s for a HAM with no possibilities to put up a large antenna.

I am mostly a rag chewer also enjoy working DX as well. I am active in cw and phone. Plan on getting involved in the digital modes soon. Also like to activate special stations: lighthouses (PG6HK) , mills (PA6KOE) or special events.

Main transciever is a Kenwood TS-480but also like to work with my old workhorse Kenwood TS-940s. Microphone is the HEIL HM-12or a HEIL headset. No amplifiers on this site: I don’t have the intention to be ‘the strongest station’ of town.
