Always a pleasure to make a QSO in phone - rtty - cw
Thanks for visiting my qrz.com page.
The QTH is Ermelo, a small village about 50 miles east of Amsterdam. We are lucky to live in a rural area, a real blessing for the radiohobby. At this moment the station consist of a Kenwood TS-480. Not a really fancy rig, but love to work with whis little "blackbox".
The antenna you see on the picture is an Optibeam OB9-5. Great antenna! I put it up in 2013. Before 2013 I only worked with wire-antennas. Now having the Optibeam DX-ing became a whole new world for me. For 40m and 80m I use an end-fed antenna. For CW I use a simple bencher or the good old Junker DBGM.
I love to hunt DX. A big thank you to all those operators spending their time and money to go to remote places in the world to give others an opportunity to put "a new one" in the log. For me a new one can be a DXCC (not many new ones left for me...) or an IOTA.
From time to time I participate in a contest and even won some!
Also love to go to hamfests. Just to browse around a little but mainly to see radiofriends from all over the world. So, if you spot me, please say HI!
I'm member of VERON and ARRL (also ARRL Volunteer Examiner).
QSL is by bureau and I do upload my logs in LoTW and clublog. Sorry, no eQSL.
