MY QSL CARD BY MY PORTABLE STATION
Thank you for visiting my qrz.com page. I was born in march 1945 in the place of Zatec (formerly known as Saaz) Czech republic. Lived after ware time with my parents and brother in Rotterdam until 1971. Then moved into our present living in the city of Spijkenisse. Since 1961 I worked for the Dutch Railway, and retired in 2001. I became a professional Ham the same year HI.
I started in 1960 at the age of 15 with the radio hobby. I was many times listening to broadcast stations. At the time Radio Luxembourg was my favourite. Also I took pleasure in collecting old tube radio's. My parents were not amused with all the old rubbish, which I most of the time bought at flea markets.
I did my first Ham exam in 1981, and became PD0LNH, following later that year, the full license was mine, and I became PA3DHR ( hi, D for dutch, H for ham and R for radio). After a few years I build a contest station at the greenery farm of my brother in law. In an old caravan for more than 10 years we where ( my son and me) very active in all modes. My son (now PG4DX) is still very active in the contest group PI4CC. I can't spent much time in contests anymore, but I'm very active on the bands, in different modes, Qrv when I can, and when I'm soldering one of my many projects.
