QSL: QSL VIA SK5AA

SE70AA is a special callsign used between 1 November and 31 December 2013 to celebrate Västerås Radio Club's 70th anniversary. Västerås Radio Club (aka VRK) was formed in 1943 and is one of the oldest radio associations in Sweden, with a small but faithful bunch of amateurs (85 members as of today) who are all active in their respective modes. The club's original signal is SK5AA and only registered members will activate SE70AA within this time period. We will of course be on all bands and all modes, using CW and SSB as well as different digital modes. A special QSL will be printed up and distributed by the buro.

We had to leave our fine club house in 2010, due to greatly increased rental costs. Shortly after our move, the house was demolished by the municipality (see picture). As of today we have no QTH and no antennas but keep our spirits high. We have even, through a partnership with another club, managed to borrow a meeting room for our monthly gatherings until we have found a new QTH for our activities.

For those who prefer a direct QSL the following applies:
Use the address above (via SK5AA)
SASE + 2 $ or 1 IRC (new type)

To contact us:
info@sk5aa.se
eme@sk5aa.se (EME activity)

See you on the bands!
Pete/SM5GMZ (on behalf of the club)
