Licenced since 1982 as SM5NZY. Since 1998 QRV as SM0NZY from Spånga in western Stockholm. In 2006 I completed the installation of a 20m (60ft) tower. The tower holds a C3 YAGI from Force12 (14-18-21-24-28 MHz) and on top of that 2x13el. YAGI for 432 MHz and 1x15 el. YAGI for 144 MHz. For 40m and 80m, I only have some simple dipoles. But the noise level in Stockholm is to high to enjoy low band DX'ing. This summer (2012) I also installed a small 3 el YAGI for 6m. The equipment I use is an IC-756PROIII for HF and a Kenwood TS2000 for V/UHF. For HF I also have an old PA that provides about 800W.

The big project for the summer of 2012 was to install a remote station for top band at my summer QTH Nr Malexander, about 300 km SW of Stockholm. From this QTH, I use the callsign SM5NZY. The remote setup is now QRV with a full size vertical for 160m and an inverted dipol for 80m that is 30m up in the trees. The Malexander site is located deep into the forest and is a very quiet place. Perfect for top band. The remote rig is currently an IC-735 that is remoted via Remoterig equipment (www.remoterig.com). Next year, I plan to install a surplus comecial transceiver at the remote site. This will then provide 500W. There are also plans for bevereage receiving antennas at the summer QTH. Since long time back, I also have an old TRIO-line JR599/TX599 hooked up to a Cushcraft A4 YAGI at the summer QTH. This is used for 7-14-21-28 MHz. But only for local operation.

I work mostly CW, but some SSB when needed. I partcipated in a small expedition, DX-holliday, together with SM0KAK and SM0LCB in late -92/early -93. We were then active as FO/SM5NZY, ZK1AZY, A35ZY, 5W1ZY and 3D2ZY. Very fun, but a lot work with the QSL's afterwords. Will for sure get a mgr next time. I'm also active on 144 and 432 MHz. Enjoy working CW on TROPO, ES and specially AURORA. I work the NAC 144 and 432 contests on a regular basis. I used to participate in the big HF contests from a club in the stockholm area, but due to lack of time thare have not been any HF contests for me for the last years.

-Hope to work you.
