WARD 2009 Award Amateur Radio: Your Resource in Disaster and Emergency Communication Every year, April 18 is a special day for radio amateurs from all over the world. It is celebrated to commemorate the formation of International Amateur Radio Union – IARU. A special event award – WARD 2009 Award – is issued by MK QTC (The Polish Radio Amateurs’ Journal) and PZK (Polski Zwiazek Krotkofalowcow) in recognition of this event. Rules: Ø The award is available for any 20 QSO’s/HRD’s on HF or any 10 QSO’s/HRD’s on VHF+. Ø Only QSO’s/HRD’s made on April 18, 2009 are valid for this award. Ø Contacts with any licensed Amateur Radio operators all over the world are valid for this award. Ø Log extract and €5 or $7 (USD) are required to obtain the award.
