Lighthouse FALKONERA (ARLHS: GRE 012, WLOTA:L0740, TWLHD-WLH: SV-029) year 2007: year 2008: Others dx-peditions & participations: I participated to J49A Dx-pedition at "Imeri Gramvousa" island (EU-187) located at North-West edge of Creta island during the IOTA Contest of 2005. QSL manager for J49A is the "SV9ANK" & not me. Also I participated to SX3FRH, FRYKTORIAS 2008 - 13/7/2008 - BRIDGES OF FRIENDSHIP from Greece, Argolis, Ancient Mycenae. An ancient Greek system of communication with fire from torches above mountaintops was called 'fryktories' from 'fryktos' that means 'the torch' in Greek. On July 13th 2008 and after 3200 years, Radio Amateur Assosiation of Greece (RAAG) members in collaboration of Turkish Amateur Radio Association (TRAC) members, was climb up on the same mountaintops (Greece & Turkey) and transmited through the ham radio frequencies a message from ancient city of Troy (located N.W. Turkey) up to the ancient city of Mycenae (located S. Greece) used special calls for each mountaintop in order that the original message will be passed through.
