During the period 30.06.2007 - 07.07.2007, a group of Rhodian Radio Amateurs will activate the special callsign SX5RHO , with the opportunity of organizing 2007 Island Games by the island of Rhodes (http://www.rhodes2007.info). Rhodes Island is very proud to host the 2007 Island Games, which will have the largest participation of island-countries and athletes, in the history of the institution. Activity of the special callsign will take place daily on all bands (HF 160-10m, 6m, 2m) and in all modes (SSB, CW, RTTY, PSK31, possibly some SSTV and JT65). Anyone who will contact SX5RHO does not need to send us a QSL card. All contacts will be automatically confirmed via the bureau and after the end of operations the logs will be uploaded into LotW. The DXCC of SX5RHO is SV5 - Dodecanese Islands and the I.O.T.A. number is EU-001. All operations will take place from the island of Rhodes. We hope to cu on air.
