On January 1st 1981 Greece became a member of European Economic Community (EEC). In recollection of these event a small group of Greek radio amateurs from the SV2 area they decided to emit a special callsign on 24 December 2005 to 5 January 2006 with the prefix SY2EEC from area near Vergina village the ancient capital city of Makedonia. The callsign of radio amateurs are SV2CSV, SV2KBB , SV2/5B8BG and the emittions they will be realised in HF-VHF-UHF.
