Istanbul is host to the only marathon on the world to begin on one continent (Asia) and end on another (Europe). http://www.istanbulmarathon.org/ 

The course of the marathon is only two hundred meters away from the new club station of TRAC Istanbul Branch - TA1KB and club members will be on the air with the special callsign of TC1IEM (Istanbul Eurasia Marathon), operating from the new grounds. Activity, starting on October 16, Friday, will be on the HF bands and will end on October 18, Sunday evening. QSL via TA bureau is preferred.
