The Mountain Rescue of Crimea (MRC) was created under Crimean region council of tourism and excursion in March 1964. The main idea of the MRC is preventive maintenance and help to groups of tourists, climbers, etc. in the mountain-forest zone of Crimea. The main office located in Simferopol: vul.Z.Zhiltsovoj, 24; Simferopol'; 95017; Ukraine. Tel.: 8(0652)25-31-58, +38-067-555-000-1. At present time the MRC conduct 50-80 search-rescue works in the year. In December 1977 was founded radioservice in the MRC. The radio club station UK5JFA was created at the 7th of May, 1978. The main idea of radio club station was teach the employee of the MRC skill of the work in the airwaves. The MRC provided the safety in sporting and search-rescue actions in Crimea mountains, at Pamir, at Caucasus, at Tan-Shan, at Ural. They shown very good work at the eathquake in Armenia. They was reward with special diploma by Supreme Soviet of Armenia and 17th medals by USSR. In official, the emergency radio service was founded in March 1989 and had 30 HAM's of Crimea. From 1991 the coordinator of the emergency radio service of Crimea is Anatoly Zalatov (UB5JAA, UB5JF, now UU5JA).
Team of UU5JZA (AYAN HAMRADIO GROUP) took part in many expeditions to Crimean mountains: Karaby Mountain, Kara-Tau Mountain, Dinosaurus Mountain etc.
