HAM RADIO AT IT'S BEST FLEX RADIO

Comments: The world of ham radio has really opened up for me since I purchased my Flex 3000. Making changes to many settings in the radio that would be frustrating on an conventional radio, very easy. Flex Radios are ESSB ready out of the box.I run the TX filter at 3.8 wide witch renders smooth audio response. There are a couple other radios that are ESSB ready and many others can be modified to do so. Is Flex the {all and end all } in ham radio, I don't think so, but unless I am very wealthy I would not be able to experience this level of performance that may be found in radios costing $10.000 and up. One thing I wish Flex would change is their software platforms in order to stay with Microsoft Windows changing platforms. Power SDR now works flawless with Windows XP Pro, But moving to Windows 7 can be a challenge as drivers become a problem. It would be nice if Power SDR would be written just for Windows 7. I hope to move to the Flex 5000 some day soon and take this great performance to a new level.
