This Callsign is my Contest Dedicated Call

Currently for my station I employ an Icom IC-746Pro for HF and VHF SSB. My station HF antenna is a Alpha Delta DXCC multiband dipole. For 2M and 70 cm FM operation a Diamond verticle keeps me in pouch with Winnipeg and surrounding stations. I’m also equipped with the excellent Yaesu FT-897D transceiver providing a versatile rig for station backup, digital, mobile and portable operation.

For RV mobile operation the FT-897D is employed with a Tarheel model 100A-HP antenna. I have tested a home brew portable NVIS for A.R.E.S. 40/80meter communications. A home brew dipole to deployed by a slingshot and shortened fishing rod over the trees technique is completed. It worked just great on my first try field day 2009. When ever possible while away from the home QTH I hope to put it into operation.

You might also reach me Jeep Mobile using a FT-857D with the ATAS-120. There's nothing like making a few contacts while my XYL is grocery shopping. I'm not a shopping fan.

I look forward to speaking to you on the bands and do my best to make contest QSO's more than just a signal report. Until then 73 and good DX.
