I am relatively new to amateur radio. I hold a Canadian advanced license. I am primarily working PSK-31 in the 20m band. I am interested in kit building and I am working on a Genesis G40 SDR 5W kit from Australia. If you like kit building, Google for this kit, I think you will like it.There is a review of the Genesis G40 on eHam. I have a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science. I worked at the University of Victoria for about 30 years in information technology support. I have a modest rig: ICOM-751A, Cushcraft R7 up on the roof and a SignaLink USB for digital modes. I have been trying to learn Morse code for my Canadian Morse code certificate. Unfortunately I've been having so much fun kit building and working PSK-31 I have left the Morse code study for a while.

I am a member of RAC (Radio Amateurs of Canada), ARRL, RSGB, and WARA (local club). I find it interesting how these three countries each have slightly different interests in the various aspects of amateur radio.
