I'm a new ham, just getting started in the hobby. I got my license in October 2011 and got my station set up in September 2012. In March 2013 I got my Advanced and Morse qualifications.  So far I have been experimenting mostly with SSB, PSK31, JT65, and RTTY on 40 through 10 meters. I also participate in the local nets on 6m, 2m and 70cm (SSB and FM). I've been listening to satellites, and hope to make some contacts that way too.

I'm using a Yaesu FT-897D transceiver with a YT-100 tuner attached to 10m and 20m dipoles, as well as a Kenwood TH-D72 handheld which I sometimes connect to a Cushcraft A270-10S dual band yagi to experiment with satellites.

Other interests: Esperanto, software and hardware reverse engineering, card games.
